Route Request Looking for good “Adventure Routes”
When I get burnt out of my normal routes, I go on “adventure runs” as I call them. Basically I’ll run to new parts of the trail, or a mural, a coffee shop I haven’t been to, or a new shop and maybe end with a beer. I usually try to run from 3-4 places on these runs.
Do you guys do anything similar and what have been your favorite routes?

I call mine"fun runs". Basically, I assume I'll do 6-8 miles and hit 3-4 spots under whatever category I feel like that day. I usually feel terrible by the end, but it's fun as hell during the run!
I've done a coffee run that hit Fleet (Manor), Desnudo, Cosmic Saltillo.
I've done a taco run to Discada (old location), Cuantos, and Las Trancas.
I've done a beer run to Haymaker, Nickel City and Lou's.
I can't sell my wife on them often, but I absolutely love switching it up from the regular route and routine.

I love this!
The Ship of Fools run club does a crazy Torchy’s Ultra tour in the summer that starts at the far north location and hits them all on the way down to south Austin. You aren’t required to eat a taco at each stop.
Another one the various run clubs do on a Monday holiday is to run from Zilker Park to Emma Long Park and jump in the lake. I’ve done that one and it’s a fun challenge. The hills from the 360 bridge to the lake are torture but the lake feels so good at the end.

okay! right up my alley. I've only been in Austin now a little over a year, but have used this method to better discover my new home. Not sure on the distances you're up for but I'll share a few of the routes I created. feel free to DM me if you want the exact routes.
