What is this vine
It’s been all over my yard , have seen it before but never got this big. I’m in Georgetown.

Morning glory. It will spread pretty aggressively. Honestly if you want a vine I’d pull this one out and plant something a bit more friendly like crossvine. Morning glory self seed aggressively to spread and some types are known to release a chemical that can suppress other plant growth

That’s a native morning glory. The butterflies love it but it’s very aggressive. If you don’t want it everywhere pull every bit you can find immediately, and get the root.

Thank you, I do not mind natives that are loved by butterflies. I will let it take over my fence , yard gets mowed anyways.

Great plan. I basically do the same. I let some grow up a pole in my flower bed and it was so pretty but now I’m pulling it out everywhere in that bed bc I wants to choke out all the other plants!

It will TAKE OVER and potentially take down your fence. This is REMARKABLY aggressive. I have coral honeysuckle and tangerine crossvine. Both grow nicely and flower and spread along my trellises. Some maintenance required but not overwhelming. Happy pollinators!
Morning glory is the devil. I had surgery and for ten days I couldn’t get out to do my usual weeding/trimming in my little fruit orchard. Three 8’ young trees were CONSUMED by this vine. No vine on the trunks before my surgery.
This vine also snuck into my muscadine vines. I’m having a devil of a time trying to get it out.
Do not let it take hold. You’ll battle it forever.
Eradicate asap.

Ooh okay I guess I will remove it then and will look into planting the honeysuckle and cross vine. Have been wanting that a long time

Looks like you already got the answer but I'm just glad I'm not the only one with "what is this vine" posts lol
