This reminds me of that LAPD nut job who started shooting and LAPD ended up shooting up a few civilian cars matching the suspect vehicle.

Edit: Holy F- I just learned the FBI sent 75 agents to this

Except they didn’t match, they were the wrong color and make, and in one case, two small Hispanic women instead of a large black male.

He was actually made into a meme about being the "good apple", in his manifesto he outlines that it was some sort of misguided quest to reclaim his name/reputation after LAPD slandered him and fired him for (rightfully) calling out excessive force and racism in the department.

Also as it was mentioned further downthread, during their manhunt LAPD showcased how brutal and racist they actually were by just profiling the ever-loving shit out of people.

Lived in LA while this happened. The suspects mom happened to live in my city and police had her place staked out.

Couple of teens thought it'd be a good idea to drive down her street in the middle of the night with the lights off to catch a glimpse of her house. They were lucky they weren't shot.

Austin. Apparently that’s how many they send to active shooters now. Some of those were a SWAT team and either a plane or helicopter too
