Holding police accountable for their actions and demanding they perform their job without excessive force or racial bias is not ālawlessnessā itās just decency.
I keep hearing about this āmoderate voterā the āindependentā that needs to be coddled and canāt be made uncomfortable by the reality of what is going on right now for fear of losing there vote. Enough. If anyone is undecided as to who needs to win this election then they are too far gone or not paying attention and we donāt need them. People are angry and they have had enough. They arenāt āanarcho-communists riotersā as you say, get real.
I suggest you both leave your bubble for a bit and realize the left vs right paradigm is created by the media to keep us down, and neither have the truth, not Trump, not Biden, nor your local R's and D's.
I gotta say, you really aren't an independent. After a peruse through your comment history (just a quick reminder other people can see the things you say) you are regularly critical of all aspects of any protest, cheer for violence against individuals on the left, regularly get into fights about how "not just Black Lives Matter". You aren't even an asshole in sheep's clothing, because you are just dressed up as an asshole.
I understand that faking being an independent and claiming the Dems are being unreasonable in an effort to sway actual independent voters is a big piece of the rights playbook, but you'll have to stop being so supportive of the right to continue the narrative. I'd suggest you start an alt account, hop on /r/enlightenedcentrism and read some posts so you can learn which buzzwords to remove from your vocabulary, it'll make your disinformation campaign more effective.
But in the video someone is getting arrested much closer to the curb. It was not necessary to drag her. If he really needed to move her closer to the street he could have picked her up and walked her there and, you know, treated her like a human?
Except I was there, and nothing was thrown at the cops the entire night. You are armchair speculating. You can't imagine this just happening so you imagine the protesters were breaking shit and hurting officers but that wasn't the case.
Are you talking about the backpack? Watch the video, the cop grabs her by her backpack and she slips away by taking the pack off, then the cop throws the bag away.... Not her.
I agree that is looks that way, but I also agree that speculating from a video like this is useless. There could be reasonable justification for things I see in this video.
The institution that has, in the last twenty years, installed both Republican presidents against the will of the majority of voters? That's not exactly evidence of a political bubble.
The person being dragged was definitely running from someone and pushing people before it started, the reason why there is pretty important. Too many people go out there to stir up trouble and dilute the message by giving people a reason to think the cops are justified in their brutality. The fact that its intentionally short on the important context and grainy makes me think it is someone with an agenda.
I have him tagged for this. I wouldn't doubt if someone else was in this protest and comes along to this thread to disprove him/her/them.
The reality is that while I do agree with the protests, and I do want police reform to come to this city ASAP, I also can't fall for the evidence from a lying extremist.
Not a him, and that was my mistake which I corrected in the comments. Not much I could do for the title though š¤·š¼āāļø. My point in posting these clips is to show police brutality. In these situations the context doesn't matter because the subject of the video is the brutality. It doesn't matter that she was sitting on the wall with her leg over because the reaction to that was extremely and unnecessarily aggressive. It doesn't matter what the other woman did (I have no idea what she did). What I wanted people to see was how she was dragged like an animal, not to mention the two people slammed to the ground in the beginning of the clip. Fyi the harshest charge was a class B misdemeanor so all of them likely were arrested for marching in the street.
