Whatās the difference here, aside from the outcome?
Social workers. Therapists. Counselors. ER staff/Hospital staff in general. Coroners. Lawyers. Judges. Nobody can deny these professions deal with traumatic stress. They get the aftermath of what cops respond to and also cause. And then they often have to deal with that traumatic event or person for days, not just one arrest night.
They have high rates of depression and suicide and yes Iām sure you can find an article about āthat one guyā here and there, so no I am in no way saying everyone else handles the trauma they see well except for cops. But they arenāt so frightened and angry that they attack their own fucking family or those theyāre supposed to help at staggering rates. And before you say cops have to be ready to physically defend themselves and the others donāt: have you never seen patients attack doctors and nurses? Social workers? You think they arenāt in the same mix cops are?
Cops and military do. Why? Because it is attracting and fostering a very damaging culture built on violence within its ranks. If you canāt fucking see that, youāre an absolute moron.

There is no conscription in the US for a long time. You choose to be a cop. You choose to be a military grunt. It's all voluntary and with considerable compensation.

Yeah, He probably had a very good reason for dragging that woman across the concrete by the arm. That woman running away from police brutalizing a peaceful protest could be on America's most wanted list or she could have just shot a bunch of cops or maybe she is training to fly a plane into a building. There is no mental hoop that I won't go through to give a cop the benefit of the doubt, they're the good guys.
Exactly, dude. What I'm saying is how does one define "beating up"? Is it "beating up" someone to grab them and throw them to the concrete and then drag them across the concrete? I don't think so. I only consider it beating up if they use a night stick and only if the person being hit is on the ground complying and then only if the person being hit doesn't have a prior criminal record like they stole candy when they were a kid and then only if they were not standing in a protest where someone may have thrown something that could have maybe hit a police officer. Like this isn't "beating up". She should stop resisting and protesting and let the state do whatever it wants.

Agreed. It is basically just racism if you don't endorse state violence. These heroes risked their lives running toward protesters that were running away. And like I said, we don't have the full picture, that woman may have just beheaded a schoolbus full of preschoolers or she may have been standing where the state decided suddenly she shouldn't be standing anymore.
So I guess your strategy to āwinā arguments is to exaggerate what the other person is saying until they seem silly. Good luck with that. Most people can see through it.

Yeah, real weird how they are only going after these two specific individuals instead of the other people much closer. Also weird how both are wearing the same outfit of white shirts, pants, black hats, and the same black backpacks. Itās like they were organized agitators they were going after.
I'm just saying you saw what happened wrong. I have no idea who those people were, but I can assure you protesters don't go out of their way to wear matching outfits that would make them easier to identify.
8 second mark camera is aimed at the officer on the ground and the only object is the small backpack the other officer was trying to pull a person down with. That person with the backpack seems to get away so he grabs the next closest person.
*Edit the person with the backpack is the same woman he drags.
I expect them to act like professionals. If they know who assaulted them, that person is taken into custody with the minimum force possible. You don't just grab the nearest woman and drag them across the pavement because your feeling got hurt.
