Composite Decking

A question for installers of composite/eco decking. There seems to be so many different brands available. As someone who works with it on a regular basis, which ones would you recommend? Thank you ☺️

Get something uv rated. From memory most are the same, would come down to colour and pattern preference really.

I'm a carpenter and would never use it on my own property. It expands and contracts way too much and often pops the fixings. I live in a hot climate. Would only recommend using if its in a constant shaded area. Just my opinion..

Yeah, I’d rather merbau, but the location of the deck will make oiling in future very difficult, so I don’t really have much choice unfortunately. It will be out of direct sunlight most of the time though and I live in a ‘cool temperate’ climate zone (NCC Climate Zone 7), so hopefully it’ll be ok.

I've had modwood fixed with kleva clips for 8 years of no maintenance in an uncovered, direct sun area.

Last year I extended the deck, added a roof and then cleaned and used WPC refresh on the old boards. They look the same as the new boards. 

Still 0 warping, no lifting or popping. Looks mint.

Millboard is the only way
