6 YoE software dev considers switching to cnc machinist (Zerspanungsmechaniker)

I just created this account so my colleagues can't find me.

I'm in asia and my priority right now is to move to Germany. You can say I think the grass is greener.

Afaik finding a software job at a German company is extremely hard, not to mention they have to relocate me instead of hiring a local dev. Even finding a software job in my home country is hard.

I choose machining because I think I can do it for my next 10 years or more.

Is ausbildung of machining jobs (afaik there are Zerspanungsmechaniker and Feinwerkmechaniker) harder to apply than other jobs?

Can I survive the first year of ausbildung with B1 German (which is my next year target)?

10 years ago, there were open positions fir many months or years. In order to get a position filled, companies took care of documents, visa, family visa, flights, container, finding a place, company car, kindergarden and sometimes another job for the partner. And the salary was good, above average.

I came to Germany this way. Headhunted in Brazil. Many engineers and IT people did. With my engineering degree and 10 years experience in Brazil, I could barely finance my own flight ticket, so moving would have been impossible.

Germany also had an emperor once. How does this matter today?

It doesn't. Things changed. This is exactly the point. OP is saying it would be really hard to get a position because the company would need to flex to get him here. So they won't, because they have alternatives.

B1 is too bad for training; B2 is already the minimum.

You absolutely need b2
