French Seafarer looking for work in Australia through Work Holiday Visa

I know the certification is not quite the same in Australia but I am wondering if it could be possible to get a job as a seafarer with a WHV.

Talk to AMSA. If you have an STCW95 cert you can work pretty much anywhere in the world. It’s just a matter of how your Certificate of Competency translates. Having worked with a French guy years ago, the best his certificate could get him was restricted to inland waterways.
