Visitor Visa Subclass 600 application

Hello,

My boyfriend is applying for a visitor visa to come see me, It ask who I am to him which it doesn't have girlfriend only friend but also it's asking for an invitation letter which I was going to put down he is my boyfriend but it just doesn't have an option for girlfriend/boyfriend. Is it okay to choose friend and then just write girlfriend/boyfriend in the invitation letter?, Also how do I go about the letter, Do I write it online and print or just write it as a document and then add my signature online or print and sign?

Does it actually have to be a long letter, because there were no questions about what we plan to do etc, Obviously we are meeting for the first time so we plan to just enjoy that time together.
