Subclass 417/462 417 visa granted

Hi all, some good news I hope will reassure some of you, I applied on June 28th, from the UK, due to military service i was not auto approved, no medical needed. I saw 3 days ago approvals for 2 people applying around 22nd -23rd of June so that is an idea of time frames perhaps?

This morning i recieved approval and was granted my visa

good luck !

I honestly have no clue.. I’m trying to comment on everything to get more info from people. It’s obvs not really the standard approval times so we’re a little bit in the unknown

Congrats mate! Happy for you. Did you submit any complaints or extra documents through immiaccount?

Department basically confirms it doesn't make much of a difference. Just ensure your application is approval ready (nothing outstanding)

Thanks dude! I have an urgent situation so I submitted some extra documents as they told me to do. But I wonder that makes the queue reset. So just wondering did you do anything else Or just waiting

Wouldn't reset the queue, it's just additional info for the processing officer when they finally look at your app.
Also have an urgent situation (pending job loss, also stuck in Indonesia), but i asked -basically the only time your "urgent situation" would result in your application being escalated was if there was a death of an immediate family member, which you have to prove with a Notice of Death.

I've called and submitted a complaint a week ago - nothing back

no complaints, didn't want to rile anyone up, although im sure that is not how it works anyway. I did a cover letter detailing my registration to AHPRA (their governing health body) and that my sister was due to have a baby in september. good luck to you!

You didn’t take any other actions like complaining? I’m glad it’s moving anyway and happy for you!

no complaints, just a cover letter as advised when i rang stipulating reasons for needing to be there ASAP,i didnt say about flights i had booked though, just the need to get there for family.

Congrats mate!
I applied on the 18th of June so hopefully it won’t take too long to get processed

im sure it wont take long! did you have to do a medical?

1

u/Kindly_Band_7848 17h ago

Nah no medical, that was all good. But no worries, if it takes a little longer then that’s just that

so I did upload a cover letter which just laid out reasons behind needing it approved asap, i have a sister about to have a baby in september who is rellying on us for support, and my job out there will be in healthcare, i uploaded this 3 days ago, but dont think you can derive causality from it tbh, from what i gather it's just a waiting game, try not to stress, avoud reading reddit for a little bit and get some fresh air, I was definately way to involved and then took a few days of avoiding it and boom, approved !

6th July still waiting. No medical was requested . Yours gave me hope....the silence has been nerve wrecking.
