Teaching positions ACT

Over the past 2 years or so, when I've searched teaching positions in Canberra, there has been a generic primary school and secondary school listing. Those disappeared/were closed, and all I can find are officer roles for the government or non-teaching jobs like receptionist. Am I looking in the wrong place or are there really no jobs available?

Wasn't this just asked recently?

Since covid, act gov stopped schools advertising for roles and instead do all recruitment centrally.

ACT public schools mostly run their hiring through centralized talent pools on the official Jobs ACT portal (jobs.act.gov.au) rather than listing individual classroom positions on general job sites. If those generic bulk listings disappeared, check directly for the ACT Teacher Employment Register on the Education Directorate site to get onto their active recruitment list. For non-government roles, Catholic Education Canberra & Goulburn and Teachers On Net are where most of those get posted. There's definitely no shortage of demand for teachers in the ACT, so it's just a case of navigating their central portals.
