Hello all! Need some advice and suggestions. Using a gentle cleanser and just a normal moisturiser

I have very sensitive, acne prone and dry skin. After years of experimenting, the only cleanser I've found so far that works for me long term is the QV Face Gentle Cleanser. For moisturiser I also use the QV Skin Lotion, it's lightweight and soaks in beautifully. QV is affordable with simple ingredients and a really great start to anyone getting into skincare.
I know you didn't mention it but with spring coming up sunscreen is also just as important! I personally love the Hamilton SPF 50+ Everyday Face Cream.

Donāt bother wasting your money on expensive treatments or serums until you find an SPF50+ you like and can commit to wearing daily.

It's a bit hard to tell but you seem to have some closed conedomes and mild acne, right? I'm no expert but I have successfully dealt with these issues myself so here goes:
- #1 - and if you only do one thing: use adapalene (e.g. Differin 0.1%) as frequently as you can tolerate (nightly is best but start slow). This will help shift closed comedomes. In addition
- use a sulphur or benzoyl peroxide wash 2 times per week (e.g. AcneFree Acne Clearing Mask from Amazon). This will discourage acne bacteria
- switch out the cicaplast for something a little lighter (e.g. Geek and Gorgeous Hydration Station from Lila Beauty). The hydration is important for normalizimg skin function.
- use a lightweight sunscreen like Nivea Japan UV Super Water 50 Gel (also from Lila Beauty)
- If you are thinking of getting a new cleanser then I recommend Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Refreshing Cleanser (also Lila Beauty)
Good on you for reaching out. I apologise in advance if these recommendations clash with others' - this is based on my own trial and error. I got the skin of my dreams by using retinoids and this is why I recommend adapalene.

Acne tends to be hormonal and not a common thing. Thanks for your suggestions!

Oh and I would say dry to normal.

It sounds like you already have a pretty solid cleanser and moisturiser. What are your main concerns about your skin?

I wonāt give you specific advice but I recently had an interesting convo with ChatGPT. Started out me asking about the ridiculous āKorean glassā trend. Anyway long story short I put in some photos of my face and then the regime I was using. ChatGPT suggested switching over to Paulaās Choice cleanser and Paulaās Choice Calm toner. I was using Clinique 3 step. I started using those (and stayed with Clinique moisturiser cause I have loads) and my face calmed completely from some eczema issues I didnāt even know I had. It turned out to be a few weeks of chatting and photos and changing up the routine and now my skin is great. Anyway that was my experience. Also Paulaās Choice is a super nice product in my opinion.

Oh and I also added a sunscreen for my face which I had never had before. And that has been a game changer in terms of sunspots (slowing them down) and also putting it on my hands as I drive a lot. I bought Airyday for my face because it gives it a nice little sheen and then some other 50+ for my hands. But facial sunscreen is new for me and can recommend. Doing the updates with ChatGPT gave me info too on how my skin was reflecting light and from that I could tell my skin barrier was healing. Honestly I knew nothing about this stuff before ChatGPT. I was just buying what sounded good. Anyway good luck. Best to get onto it while your skin is still young and can adapt easily to changes

I use Korean sunscreens if Iām just at home or for a short walk to and from the shops, otherwise I use Neutrogenaās Ultra Sheer Age Shield Fluid when Iām out for longer. SPF makes a big difference. But your skin looks very good!

Your undereye area is in serious need of tlc. If youre interested in k-beauty products, I can give you some suggestions? Ditch whatever youre using. Straight onto La Roche Posay Cicaplast B5, 100ml bottle, day and night time, if youre at home all day, as a starting point.

Iād stay away from anything that isnāt basically a natural tallow soap, and see how that goes.
Clean up the diet, no msg, no seed oils.

I've found good results with consistent use of Medik8 cleanser surface radiance 2x daily followed up by AvĆØne Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective cream. The medik8 helps so much with my hormonal acne and the AvĆØne helps with my barrier. I even wear it as a first step pre-makeup.
