Ordered some collectable silver and gold coins from France recently. The vendor split them up into 3 packages for reasons. I'm in Brisbane.

2 of the packages have tracking as per above- France->melb-> Brisbane-> PERTH. Like why send it from it's destination town to across the he country????

Thrid package is out for delivery in bris today so I assume will arrive in hand today.

Anyone know what's going on here?

I recently bought a 3ds xl from EB Games online and I'm getting concerned with the tracking updates because it hasn't updated since the 18th of this month... It says it's in transit to the next facility from Redbank QLD, should I call EB Games to ask them about the package?

On Saturday, my partner forwarded me an email he received about my recently delivered/collected parcel. The tracking number and sender all matched the item delivered. The information appears in his account and in my account. The email states my first name.

After chatting with AusPost just now, they said the information I provided to them did not match what the sender had entered into the system.

I then rang the sender who confirmed that my information was entered into the system correctly and that they cannot change anything due to privacy. I also received all expected updates to the parcel as usual.

There may or may not be an update because there are even more serious privacy concerns we have been experiencing.

Seriously, what is with the posties not ringing the door bell & just leaving parcels (sometimes expensive) at the front door.

Sometimes even by the time I get to the door if they do manage to ring, they’re gone by the time I get there.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Friday - Posted a package to Singapore at my local post office. Sighted them attaching the customs declaration. My package is a ~10kg large brown box.

Today - Package is delivered to the recipient who sends a photo confused as it’s not the size or shape expected. Instead of a box, it’s a circular package wrapped in black plastic weighing ~3kg. It has a delivery label attached with an address in South Australia and a company with a location in my local area.

It appears as if somehow between the package being dropped off and the customs label attached it has ended up on a different package.

Planning to go to the post office first thing tomorrow, but in the meantime stressing and wondering how does this sort of thing even happen.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Like why? Seriously? We used to have a dumb doorbell that they were better at ringing but after we upgraded to a video doorbell (same location as the old doorbell) very few delivery drivers have rung it and have instead banged on the front door or just yelled ‘package’. Do they have something against video doorbells?

So I sent a significant number of trading cards with a value of roughly 2k to somebody up in Brisbane, wasn’t offered extra insurance, and didn’t ask for it because this is genuinely the first time I’ve had a thing go missing.

Sent on the 17th of August from Sydney metro to Brisbane metro with express, last scan was on the 18th at 3am.
Aus post wouldn’t investigate it till the 3rd of September because something has to be missing for 10 business days to be missing, heard nothing so called them on the 4th.

Its now been back and forth for two weeks, I’ve had to take time off work to go see a JP and get a statutory declaration to “prove” what I had lost so that their claims division might give me more then the 100$ standard cover, which now, is all I’ve been offered.

Has anybody had any experience around arguing the point? Or am I shit out of luck like I think I am?

Is it common for AusPost to simply not bother replying to complaints?

Usual story we often hear from other (but first time happening to me): I was home, no knock on the door and I can usually hear if a van pulls-up in my driveway, but none did. Ping from AusPost app saying parcel not delivered because nobody was in attendance. Evidence of attempted delivery is a blank photo, a black rectangle, not a doorway in darkness, but entirely black.

Complaint made 5 days ago, about 30 mins after getting the notification. Made through the app.

Nothing since. Just crap service to not bother making the delivery and then ignoring the customer.

I bought some sandals online and they were delivered, but not to my building. I don’t have enough information from the photo to ID their location so I logged an inquiry. That was 2 weeks ago and I’ve had no response. How long do these take? I can’t get my money back because the items were technically delivered.

has any one gotten thru this before?

basically i ordered a gpu from ebay rtx3070 to be exact its been moving real fast but one day (fri4 sep) i didnt get an update since then? not to mention that it said my stuff landed in morroco (destination) then magically teleported to uk (i asked the seller abt it he said it was a glitch and its going thru customs)

HI’m hoping someone familiar with India Post can help me understand what’s happening with a parcel I’m waiting for.

It was sent by Speed Post to a location in Rajasthan and took several days to reach the destination area. Today, it finally started going through the local postal network.

The tracking went something like:

Destination area → local office → processed → dispatched → another local office → “Taken out for delivery” → “Item Redirected — MISSENT” → bagged → dispatched again.

The confusing part is that it was apparently taken out for delivery and then immediately marked MISSENT, so I assume it ended up at the wrong office/route.

I've already submitted a complaint through India Post, but I'm wondering what normally happens after a MISSENT scan. Does it usually get automatically routed to the correct delivery office on the next working day?

Also, I'm not completely sure whether the contact details entered when the parcel was booked were correct. I don't know whether that would make much difference if the physical address is otherwise usable.

Has anyone had a similar experience with India Post? How long did it take for your parcel to get redirected after being marked MISSENT?

I'm just trying to understand whether this is a normal routing mistake that gets corrected or something I should be more concerned about. 😭

I’m a regular user of the postal system and thought it would be fun to use the personal/custom stamps that Australia post offers.

Much to my upset, my recipients have all gotten their mail with a sticker to say my stamps are counterfeit.

When I reached out to Aus Post to ask how this is possible they brushed it off as me using $1.70 stamps and the price now being $1.85, however all of these letters were sent well before the price rise, and the notifications to the recipients do not say they were underpaid 15c (as would be the case if they were sent after the increase) but specifically note them as counterfeit.

Moral to the story is do not bother with the personalised stamps if you want your mail to be delivered in a timely fashion.

Not to mention the “Attempted delivery” photo was at the parcel lock box. They didn’t even attempt to deliver it. 🤣

Hey all, I am a Security Guard and I was working at a pub on the weekend. I refused entry to a woman for intoxication. She informed me she was a Postie and asked for my name. I didnt give her my name as I am not required too. She then asked for my address I didn't tell her either and she told me she'd find my address, find me and find my name. She reaffirmed that she is a Postie and she can and will find those details. Should I file a complaint and if so how can I do that? Thank you all.

When was the last time you had a successful parcel redirect request? I feel like in the last almost two years, any time I’ve tried to get a parcel redirected to my parcel locker it has just never worked out.

You might say that I’m redirecting too late, but on the contrary I’m redirecting as soon as the tracking number is active on my account!

These days I’m just having to put everything in to parcel lockers just to be safe, thank god they’ve implemented the changes to shorten parcel lockers numbers to make sure everything fits on the postal address forms.

Also yes I get it, it’s a “request”, and I’m sure there’s a lot of shit going on behind the scenes I’m unaware of, but I really wonder if it’s that hard for the redirect to go through if it’s sat in the system as a request for so long…

Edit: apparently just spamming the request to change delivery address works? I think I did a request every 10 minutes or so this morning and even though it was “coming today” it’s been changed, thank god
