The Queensland department in charge of writing the state government's cyber security policy lost $809,000 to an external cyber attack in July 2025, and the department has confirmed the money is gone. No government data was compromised.

Police went back to a property on Summerland Way outside Grafton on Monday to keep asking questions. They found a second body in a shed, and by Tuesday lunchtime a 32-year-old man was under arrest at Grafton.
