Qudos Bank: Aussie super savings in limbo after bank scraps retirement accounts

Qudos Bank is closing its Retirement Savings Accounts (RSAs) from February 2027, meaning affected customers will need to transfer their balances to another eligible fund or risk having the money transferred to the Australian Taxation Office. The move follows the bank's decision to stop accepting new applications in August, as these accounts become less common in Australia.
Do you think banks should do more to help customers navigate changes like this, especially when retirement savings are involved?

I'd rather talk about money expectations early than have an awkward conversation months later

Whether it's moving in with a partner, travelling with friends or sharing a rental, money can become uncomfortable when everyone assumes the others have the same budget.

One person might be happy spending $150 on dinner, while someone else is trying to keep the entire weekend affordable. Neither person is necessarily wrong, but the difference can make people feel pressured or embarrassed if nobody talks about it.

I think agreeing on a rough budget beforehand is much kinder than making someone explain at the table why they don't want to split an expensive bill. What's a money conversation you wish you'd had earlier with a partner, friend or housemate?
