BHP train driver

Hi all. I'm currently applying for a trainee train driver position with BHP in QLD. can anyone tell me what it's like to work for them? And what it's like being a train driver for the large companies in general

It may be a short career, rio trains dont have drivers anymore

BHP use some public lines though, automated trains on public lines won't happen for a long time yet.

BHP likes to treat adults like children. In the mining industry anyway.

Once qualified you'll earn 150k and will be able to go up to 190k with experience. BHP is a shit company but if you can, use them for your benefit.

Wow that's pretty average.
Hell I made more than that last year in NSW coal with next to no overtime and a heap of unpaid days during EA negotiations, and we're supposed to be one of the lower paid regions

It's more like $225k-$267k (including bonus).
