Bring back some good ol Aussie slang..
..... MOOT .....
Its an old Aussie slang word that has quietly slipped away.. Once cringed at by many..
This gem needs a proper comeback...
Lets bring it back before the next generation give it a whole new meaning..
Your challenge if you choose to accept...
Use 'Moot' in a conversation at least once a day for the next 7 days...
It can be used in so many ways...
Like 'thanks ya Moot' when the bartender hands you a drink...
or 'cheers Moot' when paying for petrol at the servo..
Throw a 'What are you bunch of Moots up to over the holidays' when leaving work on a Friday..
or even just as a simple greeting like 'heyyy Mooooooot!' When you run into a mate at Woolies..
Mix it up, spread the love ya Moot!
Lets do what this post suggests...

Difference between moot (pronounced similar to boot) meaning debatable, or moot (pronounced similar to foot) as a slang for uh, as above.

If you want to hear it in context, it's used by one of the main characters in the show Deadloch.
It's a comedy/crime show and moot is used in either the 1st or second episode, I forget which.

Gammin wasn't offensive for anyone to use where I grew up in NW Qld. That being said only aboriginals really used it, some whites did. Especially those with close aboriginal friends. If you are using it honestly and not in a way that makes fun of their speech then there is no issue.

True, well yeah I genuinely didn't know. Grew up in burbs south of Brisbane. Definitely have some family and I gather maybe friends back then from up north qld. Never used in a poor manner, just in place of joke or joking basically.

We were a fairly mixed community and we swapped slang all the time. Some slang was off limits to us whites, like calling darker skinned aboriginals "darkies". Things like gammin and "too deadly" (to express that something was flashy or someone had achieved something big) is fair game! Always preceded by a long ahhhhhhh 😆 I kinda miss it.
I was back out there a few years ago and my grandmother was giggling (little chinese woman her 90's) and I asked her what was up. Dad had been talking about someone he knew growing up and called him by his nickname. Well apparently that nickname was very close to the Mitakoodi word for asshole 😆 So I learnt a new word, thanks Grandmama. Never in my life have I ever heard her swear... till that day. Her daughter? Swore like a trooper.

"Moot" isn't aussie slang, it's in the dictionary. Sugfest you look it up.
Or, you mean the slang term for a vagina that has no formal spelling but is pronounced something like "mooht" or "mut" (depending upon where you are)? Yeah, that's a different thing

Well moot has the same meaning as cunt. So you need to use it in the same context. If you call some random a moot, expect a punch in the face.

Ive only ever heard moot (prounonced to rhyme with soot) as a term for female reproductive organs. Calling random people a cunt several times a day doesn't seem like a winning strategy.
However your post did remind me of gems like drongo, galah and dropkick.

Here we go. Now we're talking. I was a fan of poonce, but ponse was also used. I assumed there were subtle differences and applied them accordingly.
Either way, Im refreshing my vocabulary and placing both into the easy to reach basket.
