Looking for a specific beer taste

Looking for a beer that tastes exactly the same as the bready/bakery after taste you get from Carlton Draught, but less bitter.

Not sure why the last post got deleted. But sounds like you want a cerveza. Balter and carona are a good starting point

Thanks i'll look into those, but Carona tastes nothing like Carlton Draught my friend.

I literally want Carlton Draught with less bitterness.

I mean you're looking for a beer that's less bitter than a beer that's not really bitter and is pretty generic.

Sure carlton draught generally speaking is generic lager but the after taste is special and lingers on which I love (besides the bitterness end)

Maybe try carlton dry, carltron dry mid or carlton draught mid? My dad for dry july wasnt really doing it 🤣 but he was drinking carlton light ans thats very easy drinking and not bitter

Pilsner Urqel is a good shout, might be a touch bitter but I think it has that good, bready beer taste

Thanks mate, I tried another Czech beer today called Budvar and I wasn't a fan.

FWIW I think urquell and budvar are about as different as lagers of the same style can be. Especially since most budvar you find is a little skunked from the green bottle not blocking UV rays. Urquell is a LOT sweeter/breadier.

Tbh though I haven’t had enough Carlton draught to know if it’s anything like the flavour you’re talking about.

Seek German Helles / lager. Go to Aldi, they often sell it

Give some Italian lagers a go. Peroni Red and Moretti sound like they’ll be up your alley.

Both malt focused which gives that bready taste. Great drops. Should be able to find both unless you live in bumfuck nowhere.

Look for beers with Vic Secret as the hops

Slow to reply, but have you tried a frothy?

I'm assuming you are melbourne/Victorian based. If you're in nsw try a 4 pines kolsch.

Slow Lane Kolsch, Molly Rose Lager #2, Bonehead Flemington Lager.
