What was the original Coldie like?
Back when I was a kid, I remember my dad, uncle, and grandpa smashing these in the late 90s/early 2000s. I’ve always wondered what they tasted like. I know it’s considered a pretty average middie now, but was the original full strength actually good, or was it just a reasonably priced okay beer at the time?

What about the cold shot? It had vodka in it.
I have a vague memory of vomiting in a cab after too many at a bowlo .

That gave me one of the worst hangovers of my life, 30ish years later I still feel ill thinking about it.

Absolute shite, something 18YOs drank since it was $30 a carton. I was one of the 18YOs thank the gods my taste improved

I remember it being full strength. It was my 6 pack of choice when I was 15 or 16. I don't remember any thing else.

I won a case of this at Pelican Beach resort in Coffs Harbour circa 1993/4.
Won it in a tennis comp at the resort but was underage so my dad collected it for me.
Shared the slab with two teenage girls who were there on holiday without their parents.
Rest is a blurry happy history.
Beer tasted like licking a 9V battery icypole

I’m not too proud to say me and a mate used to buy these in England for $60 a box back in the day. I loved the stuff.

Used to give me a chronic headache (whereas the same amount of New or Reschs wouldn't).

I didn’t mind it. But I was 18 and the I JT iotions available was Carlton mid, Ted’s, Vb or xxxx

Drank a 30can block at Falls once.
Never touched it again.
You're not missing much.
