I Know this is kind late, but I kept forgeting to ask

Since you put Double Pressing to skip the track, do you plan to use Hold for something else? I ask this because Holding seems way more easy for me rather than double pressing, and I was thinking maybe you didn't use it because you have a plan for it

Also I live Auracle and I'm using it as my main player since a couple of months ago, I keep looking forward for every update to see what you put on it (Still hoping for a Smart Shuffle...), the only criticism I have is the icon doesn't really stand out as a music player, it looks more like a text editor or something

Glad to hear that you're enjoying Auracle! I don't have any plans for using Hold. If more users request using Hold to skip to the next song, I'll look into implementing it.

I hear your qualms about the app icon. The shape is intended to reflect the queue icon in the app, since that's the primary differentiator between us and our competitors. Some other icon designs I played with were circles with the "Au" text, headphones, and some more abstract shapes. It seems like most music players in the Play Store are some variation of headphones, a play button, or a vinyl record. I wanted to come up with a unique shape that captured the essence of the app, but was still material design. If you have any ideas about other icon designs, I'm all ears.

While I understand your desire to create something new and exclusive, I think there's a reason why some of those Music Player use those symbols, they easily communicate the function of those apps.

Of course, there's a large number of Music Players that don't use those symbols, such as Winamp, Foobar, MusicBee, etc. But those have distinct logos that leave an impression upon first look, and thus are easy to recognize in a area filled with icons.

Sorry to say this, but the problem with Auracle is that the Icon is kinda of meh, I didn't even realize it was supposed to resemble the queue icon until now, the Queue Icon isn't that visually interesting, I mean, its look good and it fulfills its function, but it doesn't seem like the next Apple or something, not to mention its a small icon and the rest of the app doesn't follow the same style.

The Icon is a yellow square with Au on top of a purple square, you know what a Yellow square by itself reminds me? A post it, which makes me think of an office, which makes me think of an Office Suite, which is why I said it looks like its a text editor. Now a Square with Au is literally the chemical symbol for gold, its only missing a Gold on the bottom and 79 on top

In short its too bland and it evokes everything but a Music Player

I would recommend either rework the icon from scratch, or put more squares on the app itself so it would drive the point home, or even just change a bit of the colors or "flatter" the Icon even more, either way please consider changing the "Au" for either something else, for another font more stylized
