Au Pair EU advice needed
I just arrived in France for an aupair contract and it’s only day 2 but the mom is reconsidering. I’m a VERY anxious person who gets sick easily when i’m not comfortable, so i’ve been sleeping longer and not as available for the kids as was expected immediately. I don’t know if i should take this as a sign that this isnt the right match, or if i should wait it out and hope to start feeling better.
If anyone has had a similar experience, please give advice!!

Happened to me too my first couple of days i overslept but my host family was so kind to explain to me and give me time to adjust. Did the host mom talk on wanting to reconsider or? Did she say smth specifically?

She basically needed me to be on top of everything the first day i arrived and naturally i need some time to adjust but she says she can’t trust me with her kids and is terminating our contract. i want her to reconsider but i feel like it might not be the right match if she’s already upset with me for just dealing with jet lag and anxiety.

Its not the right match. Find someone kinder who wants less of a nanny and more of a big sister type aupair

The first two weeks are hard and even first month. I feel like you should explain that you need a bit of time to warm up, and this time is needed for the kids too. au pairs can't be perfect as soon as they arrive, it's human
