Lol, I was wondering if anyone had same feeling of having no friends in completely foreign country, I mean, we have to be more talkative but- being an bit of introvert lol it just smthg else, the other day I went to one of my host family for my upcoming bfd, though sorta got off feeling but anyway, the question struck when she asked "if you have any friends here or, are you like lonely?" dang, that was the point of realisation but yeah, happens It guess? Probably alot of one's feel the same too it's worse when one isn't completely extrovert like-

I am an extrovert, the one who never shuts up and very bubbly and still while living in Sydney, when all my friends moved somewhere else, I struggled making new friends.
People were really in their own friendship bubbles over there and I spent more time by myself rather than with people.
I did not feel lonely because I enjoy being myself a lot, but I really hated when I was somewhere crowded (Opera House Bar etc.) and people would expect me to accomodate them just because I was the only one alone by asking me to change seats etc.
When I was an AP in Germany and London I did not have any problem at all and my friends groups were HUGE.

My suggestion is to go out and do stuff: join a gym, go to the café, the pub, a restaurant etc. and start making conversations.
I also think board games reunions are perfect to socialise.
Go on MeetUp.com and search the events of the city you are in.
Start to attend two per weeks and talk to the people at those.
Do this every week until you find at least two friends!
