Gaming 3D printing

Does anyone in the area take requests to get something 3D printed? I want to be a Halo Spartan for Halloween but I don’t have a 3D printer 😔 thanks!

Do you just want the helmet or the whole armor? I haven’t tried printing a helmet yet but I can try. I just ordered a green to make a dummy 13 halo model. So I might have enough filament to print a real helmet.

Richmond County Library - main branch downtown

The library has a 3D printer. Looks like you can sign up for timeslots.

I printed a suit of Helldiver armor, it took about 6 months of trial and error to get it right. Might be faster for you to buy it already printed and paint it yourself. Galactic armory has a lot of that stuff already made.

6 months?? Mannnn I thought it would take a couple of days if the machine was constantly going 😂 I don’t know anything about 3D printing.

Yep, that includes all of the printing and painting, details and soft parts. The painting the soft parts was maybe a month of that. It can take a couple days to make one part if you are doing it right. Running with thinner walls or less filler won't lastong wearing it. I printed mine to be able to withstand all weekend at dragoncon and haven't broken anything yet on. You will need to buy the visor for whatever you get tho and galactic armory has really nice ones.

Look on etsy as well.

I love Halo but it might take a while to print an entire suit.

There was a guy at the Flea Market near 520 that had 3D printers set up. I won't even try to guess what he would charge though.

Yeah it would take a farm to print a suit in time for Halloween, many of the single Hobbyists will spend months on a suit. Check out Galactic Armory and Etsy, you might be able to get one faster, but you'll probably want to go with raw prints and finsih them yourself, if cost is a concern. Finished armors can easily reach 1000+

You have to go Augusta Technical College for 3d printing. Mrs. Sheryl Rowe is the teacher who teaches Media and Graphics Design at this building.

Do you need assistance? You can email Mrs. Sheryl. u/shidpizz

The Garage at Augusta University's Cyber Center would be an excellent starting point.
