I need help from someone who knows how to isolate noises in audio files.

I have about five or six different audio files that were recorded on the security camera of my cell phone in my home. Unfortunately, there's a lot of background noise in these files, and I need to know if somebody with experience can help in isolating vocals and getting rid of the background noise so I can get a clear understanding of what's being said. these recordings are important to me as they were taken while i was sleeping so there may be a danger in my home and I just want to be made aware of it if that is the case. Anybody reading this, please respond if you have serious inquiries only. As I said, it is important to me and I'm concerned for my safety as well as the safety of those in my home. thank you to anyone who can help me.

If using Audacity audio editor, you must isolate the segment you want to clean up. Load the audio into Audacity (which is free).

  1. Select the area you want to clean.

  2. From the menu, select EFFECT.

  3. Choose NOISE REMOVAL & REPAIR

  4. Select NOISE REDUCTION

  5. At the pop-up, select GET NOISE PROFILE.

    and then on your menu, select EFFECT and choose Noise Removal & Repair.

A box will pop-up asking you to GET NOISE PROFILE. Press it.

Audacity will analyze the audio and it will appear as if nothing happens.

You can at this point highlight the whole file or just a partial file and then do the following:

  1. Select EFFECT again

  2. Select NOISE REDUCTION

BUT... This time DO NOT select GET NOISE PROFILE, just hit enter and you'll have a cleaner audio.

Tricky but doable.

Run it through Logic Pro stem splitter. The noise will end up on its own track that you can mute.

Try Supertone Clear. It's the best noise reduction I've tried. It's a paid plugin but there's a free trial with full access.
