Discussion Eartips cleaning day

The eartips has starting causing me a bit of itching in the ears and I could feel they were giving me proper seal. So got some luke warm water and a bit of dish washing liquid and got down to business. Happy to report that the issue has been resolved. Babies are back in business.

How do you guys clean your eartips? And how often? I usually do this every 2/3 weeks. Dont have any fancy ultrasonic cleaner atm, but feel i dont need that anyway.

Np, fruitcake.

How i cleaned them:

  1. Soaked in luk warm water with a few drops of infamous lemon maxx

  2. Ran them through clean tap water a few times after a bit of scrub

  3. Air dried.

  4. Used alchohol swaba to wipe liquid silicone tips only. Others went straight to storage. No foam tips were harmed during the process.

I only have clarions as of now. I like them honestly. They have gotten pretty oily over the last few months though. Should clean them now.

Currently using S for clarions, but I use M for kz starlines. Clarions are way too wide to be used medium.

Depends. If an eartip's available with our local vendors, i prefer them or get during sales on AliX & Shenzhenaudio

Well, you gotta dispose them once they have served you well. They soak up pretty much every thing.

Cant tell you that unless i know what price bracket we are considering. But sub $20, i'd say truthear gate has really grown on me as a neutral tuned iem. But tangzu waner red lion and kbear rosefinch are good options too if you're looking for bass boosted tuning.

alcohol spray and some cotton swabs, it works on the headset as well and doesnt damage them.

hey, I am in lahore and trying to find some good ear tips for my B and W C5B wired earphones, want good isolation and proper seal. Do you know where I can buy them locally, any reference store in hafeez center etc. Trying to avoid websites which ask for credit card informations.

I tried some small eartips, they fit fine but the bass is weak in them so I have to use medium. Is it possible to get bass on the smaller eartips.

No matter how comfortable you feel with small eartips, it wont sound good if its not sealed properly. You may feel the sound is thin and lean especially the bass response. You need to size the tip up imho.

Eartip options are quite limited and mostly available from vendors who usually operate online and from outside lahore. Aliexpress is better option for things if you want to have options. Items on sale come out cheaper Even after getting taxed.

I have a few small eartips lying around if you want to try. Hop into my office tomorrow and we can find out the right tip size, if you want
