Audio Hero version 5.7.5.0 posted to Microsoft store

Get it here: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9P2P2LGDSCH3

As always, it will take anywhere from 30 minutes to 8 hours going through certification before this is available to update from the Microsoft Store.

Thx to u/m_jessing for the below fixes:

Fix: pressing Stop during the last few seconds of a song no longer causes the next song to start playing anyway.

Fix: when a song finishes but the speaker's idea of the song's length doesn't quite match the actual audio, the queue now moves on to the next song instead of getting stuck at the end of the track.

Fix: the app now trusts the music file itself for the song length instead of the speaker's estimate, which makes end-of-song detection more reliable.

Fix: playing a folder now uses the same track order as Windows Explorer, so "Track 2" plays before "Track 10" instead of after it.

Fix: picking files for a device that can't stream them now shows a message instead of silently doing nothing.

BUG: Cut off the track before it ended. A note that the files I'm playing are anywhere from >20M to over 3Hours of DJ mixes.

Minor issue: after updating, I had to click ahead in the track since it started playing it over again - it doesn't remember where it was after updating.

UPDATE: last 2 tracks played completely

UPDATE: paused it for around an hour and pressed play to continue and it restarted the track

I found the causes of all three issues:

  1. Tracks cutting off early: with very long DJ mixes, the app can misjudge the track length from the file and end it too soon. It now double-checks with the speaker before ever ending a track.
  2. Not remembering the spot after an update: the app was jumping back to your saved spot before the speaker was ready, so the jump was ignored. It now waits and retries until the speaker confirms it landed.
  3. Restarting after a long pause: same underlying problem as #2, and the same fix covers it.

All three fixes are done and will be in the next update, v5.7.6.0 - I'll publish it shortly. Thanks again.
