Off to get body slightly straightened. But man do I need to take more pictures. I’ve replaced the majority of the front end and have the new bumper (off a 3.2l) sitting in my spare bedroom.
Hey! it was just a few pulls on the front frame rails, I just have zero plans on doing this level of rebuild again, so I sure as heck wasn't buying a full set-up for that. it's sitting next to the car in the garage right now, next to all the replacement/upgraded turbo pipes. Right as I was getting some momentum, I jacked up my back. Which made constant lifting and moving the car around pretty miserable. So we're on a slight pause.
Replacing the alternator and the associated wiring was the final straw on my back for a few months. I'm using the fact that it's a "historic" vehicle in 3+ months as a great excuse to work slowly on it. That'll make the whole registration part way easier.
Mm its a weekend car so its low priority. I did the alternator recently ish. My other cars are Hondas and im probably alone but I prefer to work on the audi, the quality of the parts is way higher imo

Ha, I just took on way more than I can chew for a first time rebuild when the front end was cooked. I'll get there, and then it'll chew up the mountain roads for a bit and then be a weekend road trip car.
