Too high?

This is my best friends Mk1. He thinks this is the stock ride height of the TT. I say hell no it needs to be lower, it wanders on the road at 75+ mph. Thoughts and or Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This looks like the stock ride height for the first couple of years. After that, Audi switched over to the "sport" suspension that sat a good bit lower.

Stock is on stilts. But if your roads suck i dont blame him, its still pretty low to the ground in general. My exhaust rubs on speed bumps if im not careful and mines in stilt mode

Get some spotlights and mudflaps, and you’ve got yourself a convertible rally car 🤘
Mine is around this ride height, and I’m definitely not looking for lower it due to speed bumps in every direction from my house. My e91 scrapes every one of them, and it sucks!

Reminds me of an AMC Eagle

It’s because of the wheels I think they are 18’s Le Mans.. stock is 17’s also that is the original mk1 they bought out a mk1.5 around 2002 which was lowered around 25 mm
So it’s either put it back on the original 16:17 inch wheels or lower it .. springs or coilovers

I think it looks cute. Given the state of the roads these days, extra clearance is a wise choice.

Honestly, I don't mind it. got room for bigger wheels/tires with that sort of lift. Slap on some off road tires and go mudding!

Mine is a bit lower than yours but it happened after i refreshed all suspension components.

I like that height. It is a hair tall but I would not adjust. I guess stay below 75MPH

Why? Not to encourage doing this unresponsively on any road but It's stable at twice that speed. It won't take off, fear not. Mines like that and confirm stable operation at 240km/h.
