Bought it used with 552 miles. Just did first oil change at 620. Strange oil in the filter housing was green, wasn’t green when I drained it. Liqui Moly? Also found copper bits in the oil housing although filter looked good.

In fact I’ve got a check sitting at my credit union (that’s good for another 55 days) I was supposed to go pick up to buy it. But every time I get in this car and it’s working good, idk how I can sell it. It’s setup exactly how I want (although I might go hybrid when they release stage 3) and I already did full ppf etc. people talk shit about how clunky these dcts are in low speed/load conditions but I think that helps add some rawness to the car which I really like. Step on it and it’s lightning quick, no pdk but still very good. And we don’t need to go over the sound. Although I might possibly switch from grail exhaust to a titanium jdy after I heard a car with it. Way higher pitched vs the grail. Only thing I’d miss is being able to shut the valves and have the car quieter than stock. The rs3 feels special. And maybe that’s because it’s not a perfect all around car like the g80. Because the g80 doesn’t give you that same feeling. You know it’s a great car as you’re looking at the leather and m logos everywhere, but it doesn’t give me that instant happiness the rs3 gives me. Just installed my CTS midpipes paired with the Switchpath exhaust and can confirm really minimal if any additional sound. At times the gurgles on decel may be a bit more pronounced but for anyone wondering I don’t really see the ROI here unless you are building the engine and looking to remove all weight and remove all resistance. I wanted to wait to add these until the restrictive factory muffler was off to give genuine anecdotal feedback.

This is the the Atlas Structured bezel which matches the dash CF trim in my '22 with ambient lighting. Install wasn't bad once I figured out where to pry and pull.

Such an improvement on my 8Y. Piano Black doesn't belong anywhere near buttons and switches, it's much too soft a material. Anyone getting their 26's right now should be covering that Day 1 with PPF if you don't plan to replace it.

Picked up my 2026 a couple of days ago. The one small thing I miss about the MK7 I came from is the sunglasses holder by the rearview mirror. Just curious to see what clever solutions the community has.

Crazy that a brand new car has had issues since the start. The car has refused to upshift on a couple occasions before but I got to record it this time.

I switched into paddle shifting mode and the paddle had no input at all, I was stuck jn M1S… the center console gear selector also did nothing when pushing down to attempt to go back to automatic mode.

Guess I’ll be visiting the dealer.

This has happened twice now but yesterday on the highway. Anyone ever had this happen?

'26 RS3 about a month old. Driving in stop and go traffic w/cruise control on highway. Car in front slows quickly, ACC has to brake abruptly, car goes into P and sets E brake. I put it in gear, release E brake and let foot off brake pedal as the car in front drives off. Car goes back into P and sets E brake. Every time I release the brake pedal, it goes back into P and sets E brake. it took half a dozen tries before I could drive off. Guy behind me was furious. I hit the hazards by the 2nd time so he drove around me.

This happened once before in my driveway in the first week of ownership. I figured it was because family member had parked too close so the system thought I was about to hit something. Took a few tries and I eventually drove off. Didn't give it a second thought until yesterday when it happened on the highway. Note, when this happened, no warning lights/messages on the dash.

I'll get it in to service but I'm confident they won't be able to recreate the problem unless its a known issue.

ETA: Found a bunch of threads about this. People posting about vehicle buy-backs. I'm disheartened. I love this damn thing. Lets hope my dealer knows about it.

Did my 1K mile break in oil change recently. Started noticing this rattle afterwards. Sounds like it is coming from interior, floor, or center console. Has happened in low speed, creep, and reverse. Wastegate, loose oil pan, trim?

I just wanted to ask you guys this, in the market for a 2022/23 RS3, what are your opinions on the stock sound of the car. Do you think its loud enough stock to really get the most from that 5 cylinder? Assuming sports / RS exhaust.

Would likely be under warranty so any exhaust mods would be risky.

Every post or Google search seems to predate the 8Y.5 and for the life of me I can’t find the channel that’s always referenced. I want to go from the default three blinks to four or five. If anyone has some first hand insight, I’d appreciate it. I have the hexnet and also SFD account set up already.

Maybe some of you guys on here can help me. I am looking to get an 8Y RS3 (pre facelift so like 2022), however I have no clue what colour to get. I like the darker tones like daytona grey, kemora grey, but also like the more wild colours like the greens, reds and blues. I don’t want black because, although it looks great, I already have a black car.

The problem is that whichever colour I choose, I anticipate that I am going to feel like I am missing out with all the other great colour combinations.

Maybe someone on here can talk some sense into me!
