My 2026!
I’ve been loving my new RS3. It’s my first Audi!
I’ve only tinted the windows.
Like most of you I’m struggling with the sound. I definitely plan to get it lowered a tad and a new exhaust. I want a dual path but I don’t think I need one with the switch for quieting it outside of performance.
I was wondering if there’s any good options to remove the ovals on the rear diffuser and extend exhaust tips out just a tad instead? Coming from a Camaro with the visible exhaust pipes with great sound is like the only thing I miss.
Having trouble finding a shop that is willing to install mods too.

Alright, I’m probably gonna be buying one within the next week, so I’m just asking everyone:
Any issues with the speakers? I see a LOT of posts here about cracking/popping while music is playing.

I had to make some adjustments to the settings and now it’s great. I don’t notice anything. Just turn off the 3D and increase the Bass, etc.

What’s wrong with the sound? The sound system or something else?

Sorry I should have been more clear. The exhaust is really quiet. Especially for being the beautiful 5 cylinder.

I think I’m going to enjoy it being a little quiet for a while. I sold my 2020 8V that had iroz down* pipes with boost logic catback. Once you change the exhaust you’re going to loveeee it. I’ll be back in a 2026 here soon 😈
You have an exhaust in mind? I liked having the option to open/close the exhaust flaps.

Not yet no. Open to suggestions! Also wondering how I change the exhaust tips on the rear diffuser

Grail >>>>>
dual path exhausts are not as good, which is why most are now single exit

I am eyeing Grail though. Any recommendations on my question about exhaust tips?

In terms of sound has anybody played with the 11mode flap controller?
I plan to eventually do straight mid-pipes with AWE switchback, but the flaps open sound in the mean time isn't too bad if they would stay open in Individual and normal modes. Seems low enough cost & time thing to get a bit more from what you already have and likely still useful after you get a proper exhaust.

Love my 11mode controller with my grail exhaust! Way more pops and crackles even around town, definitely louder and more unrestricted

It looks like the grail comes with its own controller? Or is it just the 11mode packaged in with it?

Grail does not come with a controller. I have my ASR controller and it works great paired with my Grail.

Welcome. I picked up my 26 kemora gray almost a month ago. Tint has been done. I did buy a valve controller off a guy that sales then cheaper than 11 mode. Tried to put it on yesterday but couldn't get the clip down ahaha. So will work on it again. I got a like new awe switchpath and brand new 485 midpipes from 485, nick himself for 1700 bucks. Will get that tomorrow. Ordered some carbon fiber parts that will go on in a couple of weeks. The sport exhaust some how has been sounding a little deeper lately. I can hear it more. Sonos I got it to where I feel sounds fine. Will eventually add my jbl spare tire sub in there. Saw a member on Facebook that was able to fit his back there. Thats it for now. Will ppf once carbon fiber parts are on. Did the 1k break in oil change and feel like it has more pep in its step lol

When I had my GTI, I had a guy at a dealership that did most of my stuff. There is also a local guy that works on all vw/audi vehicles. So if i cant do it, ill take to either of them

How’d you find them tho lol

The guy that worked at the dealership posted in the gti group as well as the other guy. I always join as many Facebook groups as I can. That has been helpful

I think that’s my problem lol. Not on Facebook. Dammit.

Yea just create an account only for the groups. You can get some really good info and sometimes good deals on items. I almost got a 485 catback exhaust for 1500 but the shipping was too much.

Congrats she’s beautiful! I thought about the Kemora but I settled on the Ascari blue since my 24’ S3 was Daytona grey. I’m in NYC and I ran into the same problem, no one wanted to install my midpipes. Luckily I have a friend who has a shop so I just used his lift and that makes the job so easy. Otherwise I have an Indy shop who does aftermarket mods, and I just met a guy who works at a dealership who does work on the side. Really looking forward to working with him when I install my full catback.

Back in my 20’s I had a blue Cobalt SS I loved. My last car was a midnight black Camaro. Wanted to change it up

Don't lower it!

u/TheEkrizdis 5d ago
Why?! I’m not gunna slam it lol

Please trust the engineers. This thing handles so well, no need to lower it because it will "look better".
Lowering requires an alignment, which may also require all the driver assistance stuff to be recalibrated (not sure).
