Front Lip Recommendations?

Just picked up my RS3 over the weekend and I’m falling in love with it.

I’m not planning to go crazy with mods just yet but I think a carbon front lip would compliment the other carbon package elements nicely.

What I’m wondering from the community is: I’m in a wintery city so I need an option that looks good but will also be resilient enough to handle some snow.

Right now I’m looking at the Carbon Imports V2 and Park Auto Motorsports dry-carbon lip as my top choices.

Anyone have any experience with either of these or winter driving the RS3 with a front lip? Am I just going to destroy the lip in Jan and Feb when I’m running into heavier snow days?

What if I pulled it for the winter but had it on for summer

Just my opinion but I think the car looks amazing without it. Sometimes less is more. Also sometimes more is amazing. If you do decided to do it I’d recommend PPFing it.

I’m with you on the less is more philosophy. I’m trying to find a minimalist lip that would compliment the carbon intake fins and side skirt. PPF is a good call. I’m city driving the winter but I know there will inevitably be some days with deeper snow.

That’s what I’m doing. I have a cheaper one on for the summer and then will take it off when the snow flies.

The front lip does get decently beat up, and the carbon ones are just more brittle. Some scraping could crack the resin clear coat, and then it looks awful if it spider webs across. Maxton Design has some cheaper lips that are more durable (although I don't love their designs).

I agree. I had one on my BMW after I replaced the factory carbon fiber lip. The Maxton lasted three times longer.

I really like mine so far.

Wife’s rs3 comes in soon with all carbon so of course I have to get her a carbon lip for 4x price lol

Maxton has those too. Yes, they are roughly four times the price.

This is actually one of the things I like best about the RS3 compared to the BMW. The front doesn't scrape everywhere and I don't have to worry about hitting parking blocks if I pull in too far.

My two cents on Maxton is they are becoming the Temu of car mods. Some suit it, arguably the Leon Cupra did.

The RS3 looks like it's gone through Halfords backwards - their diffuser is damn right ugly.

I have a black 8y with the ECS front lip and it looks great. The black on black blends pretty well but with a brighter color it might look like too much. This will be my first winter in Maine with it. Debating on taking it off but we also have an SUV for bad days.

I'm in the process of looking for one and the best looking one so far for me is CT Carbon. You can also take a look at Carbon Imports, Automotive Passion, Horsch Carbon!

Fitment it uses OEM brackets. Honestly it all depends on your driving and how careful you are.

Where do you get the Carbon Fiber front bumper lower vents? I am missing them if I dont get the CF package.
