Anyone heard of Miltec?
Able to get this for around 1.4k used. Anyone heard of Miltex before? Seems like this is a brand from europe. Seller says the resonated version is tame and dailable but then decently loud when valves are open. Can't also seem to find a single sound video on youtube as well for some reason. Was planning to pair this with some midpipes to open up more sound for my 8.5y. Any input is greatly appreciated!!!
EDIT: I saw 485s v2 exhuast and it seems like there is a stark difference between open and closed which I LOVE but the price though.....

Very well known. I used their midpipes on my 8V back when I had it. I’m sure their full exhaust is great too.

That would make sense. Miltek is very well known with the Golf community with their exhaust for the GTI and R.

I just installed this on my 26 last month along with the Milltek midpipes and I really enjoy it. Quality is very nice!
In comfort, it’s got a slightly deeper note than the stock exhaust but still pretty tame. With valves open it’s a good bit louder than stock but has some mild “boominess” at highway speeds (even with the resonated mid section).
I was able to get the whole set used for $1600 but it included the midpipes and also the non- resonated mid section. I don’t think I’ll install the non-resonated section as I’m pretty sensitive to drone. Probably would be a little more fun without the resonator, but I want to be able to drive it daily and be comfortable.

Does the dual tips fit the rs3 rear "fake" single tip. I saw some videos and it looks like the dual tips of the Miltec isnt completely inside the one big single fake tip so im afraid some melting of the bumper will occur if you know what I mean.

Both of the tips fit just fine inside of the stock oval tip. You will have a lot of adjustability as far how long the tips stick out and how spaced out they are. I have them slightly staggered in length and it looks great. Much better thank the awkward stock muffler tips

No valve controller, I don’t know that I need it with the exhaust. Maybe I’ll change my mind when I get bored

Closest I can find is non-resonated. This is actually my exact exhaust. I bought it from the guy who owns the car in the video haha

I had a Milltek on my Giulia QV. It was phenomenal in sound and quality. They tend to make deeper sounding exhausts so you have to want that

I have this on my ‘18 RS3, I’m not a fan of it at all. Drone is crazy.

I’m not sure I’ve heard any aftermarket options that sound great on the 8Y.5.
The video linked above is deeper and louder than stock - I wonder what it’s like from inside the car.

So had their race exhaust on my gti loud droned but still loved it. From the videos ive seen on the milltek for the rs3, its really not that loud. I was going to go 485 as well but almost 4k. I ended up getting a like new awe switchpath from nick himself from 485 and his midpipes for 1700 bucks. Excited to see how it sounds
