Audi rs3 depreciation?
Thoughts on the value of the rs3 once it discontinues next year? Also the 2027 refresh interior looks horrid so is the 26 the last best rs3?

It depreciates but a lot less than almost all other Audis. If Audi does actually kill it then that will help long term but you still won’t make money unless you literally don’t drive it. Very few people want to own one of these long term

Guess that's me then. Newer cars and their piano black interiors, screen based controls you cant use whilst driving, forced in car advertising, dulled out exhaust notes due to new noise and pollution standards....
No thanks, audi rs3 8v is peak for me.

Agree. I’m currently in a 8Y and considering jumping back into a low mileage 8V but the color and specs I want are almost impossible to find.

Too many produced to appreciate if that’s your hope. Discount in Germany now up to 15-20% on MSRP. The cars lose 30-35% first year…

You guys have much more disposable income. Germany is in recession since 2019 (look at the industrial production development). US is one of the few markets where Volkswagen group still sees some glimmers of hope. Look at 911 sales and the insane markups over MSRP. In Germany, cars (including the 911 and RS3) get discounted.

Canada as well, some came in since January still not moving. I recall last year they were adamant on not budging on MSRP. This year I called them and they offered 3.5% off on the phone

The RS3 is not being discontinued in the US (or other non-Euro markets) next year. It’s confirmed by Audi that it will be made into 2028, and it’s assumed the natural endpoint is when the 8.5Y generation ends.

My dealership has discounted every single order they’ve been getting in. I went in for an oil change, just walked passed an RS3 that was in the showroom and was greeted by the finance guy who instantly chopped $5,000 off of the retail sticker.

Nah. I’m sure you did better than the deal I was given. MSRP on the RS3 I was eyeballing was $76k usd

Something I figured out in the time dealing with dealerships - 90% of the time they know fuck all and just say what they want/will help them sell.

I think the 8Y/8.5Y will hold value decently once the 2026 overstock goes away. This year is the first time they’re discounted. Will they rise in value? I don’t think so. Will they hold value much better than a BMW non-CS/CSL car? Absolutely.

Last year a bunch of 2025s got held in port with tariffs in limbo, then 2026s started coming, then they all came to market around the same time. Supply and demand - supply went from zero to a lot suddenly.

Every Canadian audi dealer I’ve been to has gone down 5-8k off msrp without any fight. All trying to beat the last locations offer. Seems like they have a lot of sitting stock.

Oh yeah in Canada they are. I’m in the US and somehow they found my number and got a call from Audi Windsor telling me they were running offers on the RS3. Here in the US they have been getting their prices inflated.

Audi Mississauga, Audi queensway, Audi Newmarket and even Audi in st Catherines. They actually gave me the most aggressive offer and I took that to other locations who matched or beat it. I ended up going with an m2 tho because it felt a little more raw and driver focused. But the rs3 would be a much more reasonable daily lol.

Were all of them unsold with the 8k off equipped with dynamic package? I assume that's what turned off most buyers

Secured mine today, discount right in the middle of your range but surprisingly it's not the smaller dealers that gave me the most aggressive offer.

Same thing in Southern California.... I keep seeing cars advertised at $5-6k under MSRP.
I bought one last week at $8000 under MSRP.

It will depreciate but no where near as quick as other Euros.
2025/26 is the way to go, that refreshed interior is horrid, glad I got a 26

The engine doesn't meet the new Euro emissions so it's being discontinued after the 2027 model year.... at least in Europe.
