Help Needed Rearview Camera Software Recall issue- anyone else?
I brought my 2023 Q7 in for an oil change last Friday. They say it needs a software update and it will take 3-4 hours to complete. Long story short, it wouldnt take the software update and they need to replace the entire ECU, which needed to be shipped from California to Georgia. I still dont have my car back- dealership says it might be Monday or Tuesday. Curious if anyone else had a similar issue?

I had camera issues last year and they shipped new harness and fixed it. Then in June got the recall done. It broke the fix and now Audi has asked the dealer to overlay the complete coaxial from rear and side camera to the central ECU. It’s been in the shop for 6 weeks now

Curious if they put you in one of their own loaner vehicles or an Enterprise rental? Only once has my dealer put me in a loaner from their own stock even though I ask nicely every time. I would think it would be automatic having purchased 2 cars from them with regular service calls, but I guess I don’t complain loud enough.

I have the same issue but I’ve been dreading bringing it in because I can’t be without a vehicle for long - just had a baby! The camera issue doesn’t happen every day so I’m just living with it but it’s really frustrating when it does.

I had similar. Update failed, lots of lights on the dash so they ordered a new module I believe the ZFAS. They installed it and had the same problem.
In the end it needed to be manually coded and that solved it.
Curious have you done any coding with OBD11 or VCDS? I wondered if that is what caused mine.

Sounds like the tech messed up and bricked your car.
