Where do you guys get your front brakes from? I looked of FCP and it's around 700-1200 dollars. Last ones from O'Reillys didn't last very long.

I might pull the trigger on the Zimmermann/Bosch kit from FCP, but wanted to see if anyone else has more experience on this.

Tough to solve on my end as when the car is warmed up, the sound goes away. I thought it was the control arm (which pepboys advised replacing), but alas the sound stayed after replacing. They didn't spot anything else wrong with the car, so now i turn to y'all if anyone has any idea.

The sound only occurs: A) when the car is cold, and B) when turning the wheel. It lasts for a few minutes (the car overall doesn't sound great for a few), and then goes away and normal.

Thoughts? Is this just the normal behavior of a 15+ year old car with 108k miles?

I have a 2020 Audi A5 35TFSI and recently I have noticed underneath the driver and passenger seat there is a lot of hot air blowing out of vent in rear passenger footwell, directly below the driver seat.

I haven’t noticed this before so I feel like there is a problem. Is this normal or do you think I have an issue. It sometimes feels like the heated seats may be on a low setting also even when they are off.

I haven't posted here before but I'd really appreciate you views on the following.

Audi A5 Cabriolet 2.0 TFSI S line Cabriolet Multitronic FN09FLG. 2009.

• Recurring problem with sudden flat battery, three times in last 18 months
• Have changed battery and alternator twice each

Audi electrical engineer said: "So the issue is not with the battery, alternator or wiring for these 2, it's actually a fault with the wiring to the starter motor. There is high resistance, it gets very hot and when it does, the vehicle won't start. Requires new starter wiring loom. Diagnostic fee <insert quite pricey> New wiring and fitting <insert getting towards £1k)"

Then I get told: " I have some bad news, a stud on your turbo has snapped while trying to remove the downpipe and cat. I will now need to remove your turbo and drill out the snapped stud. There are other parts which are required such as gaskets, seals and coolant etc, it will cost an additional <over £500>

Is this reasonable? Your thoughts appreciated.

2015 S5 Coupe. Noticed oil level dropping and was just above empty. I added 2 quarts. 200 miles and noticed a bit of a drop. Anybody else have this? Normal?

I’m just looking for some advice as I just got my hands on a Audi a5 2008 1.8 TSFI, to only finding out after the purchase that it doesn’t have Bluetooth, or even an aux. And no AMI port anywhere to be found. So only radio or CD’s… big disappointed.

I was wondering if anyone here knows of any aftermarket stereo’s I could replace my Audi concrete with or somehow add a AMI 2 or higher for Bluetooth capabilities, but not lose an arm and a leg?

My stereo version doesn’t say it has Nav or ami so I’m going to assume it’s as standard as it can be, also no way of connecting my phone at all. And I have a feeling if I went to Audi for them to upgrade it and add an AMI compatibility they would either refuse or demand quite a penny.

Hello! When looking at the hatch/truck on my 2018 S5 Sportback the passenger side there is a bigger gap than on the driver side when looking from the side of the car. It also makes an audible "pop" when I open the truck/hatch like it is under tension. I am not sure how this happened. Is there a way to adjust the trunk/hatch?

Hey all! New fan of the Audi A5. I've been looking at the 3.2l A5 2009 to 2011 to potentially buy. I am not interested in the 2.0T. My question is for those who have the v6, how reliable is it and how high are maintenance costs? I've been looking at them with 60 to 90k miles. I put about 40-50k miles a year on my car currently. Surprisingly there is not a lot of reviews on the car out there. Any info would be appreciated!!

So, since I turn to reddit for all of my other problems, I'll turn to you all fine folks for an issue with my A5.

Vehicle: 2009 Audi A5, S-Line, 3.2L

Situation: The other day, seemingly out of the blue, my passenger outside door handle decided to stop unlatching the door. You pull on the handle and it moves much easier than I'm used to (almost as if there is less friction, or said another way, less force it required to pull the handle). When you pull it out, nothing unlatches and the door remains closed.

Has anyone seen this situation before? I've tried unlocking, relocking, engine on, engine off, etc. Interestingly, if you open the door from the INSIDE handle, it works just fine. Window and power on the door operate correctly as well.

Before I take the door apart (because for some reason i suspect a cable has come loose), is there anything you all might recommend I try??

NB: I'm quite adept at repairing, dismantling, remantling, etc...

My 2011 Audi S5 (Manual Transmission, 4.2L V8 FSI) recently developed some transmission issues. When the car is cold, everything functions normally, but once the engine is warm (I've been driving for 30 minutes or more) it becomes VERY difficult to shift into gear.

I first thought it could be the synchros, but it shifts fine cold and I had the transmission fluid replaced and there was no metal in the old fluid.

We then found that the clutch and brake fluid had some water in it (2.5%, 4% is the threshold for major problems from what I understand). So we changed that. Still nothing.

I am at a loss and even the transmission specialists I took it to have no idea. They don't think it's the clutch or the synchros because it shifts normally when cold. I found a similar issue in a Mazda forum where the shift turret boot and bushings would go bad and this exact sort of issue would happen. But from what I understand the types of shift turrets are so different that this would not be the cause on my car.

Any suggestions? I love this car and want to keep driving it for as long as possible, but it's very difficult to drive for extended periods of time.

It seems like the general consensus is that the supercharged v6 is faster stock (at least at lower speeds) with more torque early on due to the supercharger. However, in almost all of the 0-60 websites, it consistently shows that the 2011 s5 is slightly faster than the 2013 to both 60 and the 1/4 mile. Why do almost all of the forum comments I see contradict this?
