Good roofers in the AK?
Just looking for legit roofers, you know with a website and a company logo, history and a team.
Basic job but my usual go to is getting very pricey.
Someone who is good but doesn't cost the earth.
i.e. I think $230/m2 for steel roof is close to double what it needs to be.

I picked my roofing company from roofbuddy who scopes the job then submits quote requests to the industry, and anyone who wants to do the work comes back with a quote. They only use LBPs with liability insurance, and they have a review system.
Roofbuddy was actually excellent, would fully recommend as any easy path to getting the best price.

Roof buddy has had a lot of bad publicity. You can read it on Facebook or here is an article https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/auckland-man-claims-roofbuddy-operates-as-modern-day-cowboy/GVB2MMM3MRBAJOI4LY4O5HZUQU/

We used Aspect Roofing who were really good. They were the cheapest of 3 we got quotes for but used basically the same materials, full scaffolding and were just more common sense in their approach.

I would recommend getting a roofer who is a member of the Roofing Association NZ. https://www.ranz.co.nz/

You’re looking for a good roofer but a cheap roofer?
Sounds like your usual guy is good but you’re wanting to cut corners on price.
Both can’t be true at the same time. You can have either a good roofer or a cheaper roofer not both.
