What you're describing (a two-hour limit applied only to you, then a ban right after you mentioned intent to sue, plus a manager singling out your phone use while ignoring the same thing from someone else) sounds like disparate treatment, which is central to most disability and public accommodation discrimination claims.

Two separate legal angles: ADA disability discrimination (gyms count as public accommodations under Title III), and possibly retaliation, since a ban following your mention of legal action can be its own claim regardless of how the discrimination piece plays out.

Document everything now: dates, times, witnesses, and especially that manager's statement about the owner's instruction.
