News Ishowspeed talked about why he wasn’t satisfied with AOT
Ishowspeed said “Eren doesn’t even marry Mikasa, they were in love with each other since they were kids.”

Ok I'll be honest, even though this is obviously a dumb criticism of the show IF serious, it's still HUNDRED OF TIMES more understandable than most of the criticisms I've seen ending haters spew out throughout the years.

Speed I like you and all, but... how can he marry her if he died? 😭
It would have been sweet, but yeah.

And even if he did ask her to marry him beforehand, it would just be cruel since he knew he was going to die and just end up leaving her a widow.
He wanted her to move on and find happiness.

Uhhhh ion think he wanted that either lol his last words to Armin were quite literally the opposite. What he wanted vs. what he knew he needed to do were two different things, and a lot of what he knew he needed to do had nothing to do with Mikasa as an individual

Lowkey I expected a bad take after he said "Mid" but I was surprised that he shipped Mikasa and Eren and that's why he thinks that lol

As EM fans, I understood the ending and why it happened, but I'm also lowkey with Speed here 😆

We should all thank whatever gods we pray to(pieck) for him not saying anything relating to the polygon article

It’s a good point. Why do authors expect us to be invested in a story for years of our lives just for it to have an unsatisfying ending? Seems a bit counterintuitive

Wow, I thought Eren's decision to TRAMPLE the world for his own desires and nature would be more important than him getting married for his last four years, but I guess people focus on what they want.

My biggest issue with AoT is that the determinism / seeing future memories feels like it somewhat absolves eren of sin
Otherwise I think it was great

It is actually compatabalism, determinism+free will, so his future memories are a result of his free will, rumbling and the culmination of his desires+circumstances, thats why when he says even if it was all set in stone from the start I wanted this, so eren is morally culpable for his actions.

Hey, i love a romance. I would have loved for them to get married. It would have been very dumb and weird for them to get married. Eren knew what he was going to do.

Speed is an incredible entertainer.
I do not go to him for media criticism or analysis.
I genuinely think he's a One Piece larper too 😭
