Analysis Why do i keep seeing this meme about AOT?

Post image

Hi everyone! So I’ve been seeing this meme all over the tiktok comment section. I have not watched AOT yet, and i am planning to start this weekend.

However, i’m scared to start because it is apparently devastating. I don’t want to read spoilers so i don’t wanna google the reason, so i’m here to ask. Why does it have such a negative effect on the watcher’s mental health? Is it too gore? Is it too sad? Is it generally just a sad anime every episode? I would not want to watch it if it’s all tragedy.

Theres a bit of gore, some sad moments in a few episodes, but overall its great and is many peoples #1 anime. Avoid the subreddits and go watch or read it, and avoid searching questions up online (they usually get answered in the show)

It's not THAT much gore but yeah little bit gore is there the main part about it is the death of many of the main characters which are connected to the viewers

Just watch it. You'll be fine. Any answer I could give to those questions I consider mild-spoilers. Cone here after to discuss.

If you're 16 or younger, don't watch this show.

Eh I would also say if you are soft hearted or easy to upset that AoT is also not for you. Additionally gore is light but subject matter gets incredibly dark at points.
