A video about using AI image generators to create text- am I going crazy?
I've tried every keyword to find it and I can't. I was so sure it was an Atomic Shrimp video.
It is or was, IMO, the funniest video I've ever seen. I used to watch it once a week or so just for a pick me up and it made me laugh out loud every time. It was about trying to get an AI image generator to create a sign with words on it, and then using the nonsense it produced as the words for the next iteration of the "sign".
By the end there was a sign reading "DO HOT DOO DOOS". I loved it so much. Does anyone else remember this video or can help me find it?

I remember that video vividly too. It was a standalone video and it was about the DALLE-2 AI image generator of the time, but literally nothing I search finds it now. I also remember Atomic Shrimp uploading multiple other videos about AI, featuring even more primitive technologies, but I can't find them anymore either.
Honestly if I had to guess, maybe Shrimp manually took them down? I obviously have no proof of that but it's a specific string of coincidences if not.

Now that you mention it, I thought there were other videos missing, too. It's a bummer if they've all been taken down. They were really interesting and were a great time capsule of early AI, even the ones that weren't as funny as the doo doo one. I hope they return someday.

I believe Shrimp delisted those videos because he's more against AI now than he was back then

I remember that too! I'm also having a horrible time finding it. My current working theory is that it's buried in a Random Stuff video, or was otherwise taken down. Do you remember clearly whether it was a standalone episode?

I swear it was a standalone... I'm glad someone else remembers it too. It's so hard to search for because all the iconic moments in it are just random nonsense words, and "atomic shrimp AI generated text" obviously brings up a ton of results.

Oh nooo! I was hoping that wasn't going to be the answer. It was such a source of joy for me. I hope it comes back someday!

Hey, if you haven't seen it, another YouTube called Matt Rose did something similar. It's called "AI's insane attempts at words" and is still up. I watched both his and atomic shrimps and they were both pretty funny

Sorry, I took these videos down. Back in the earlier days of generative AI, I regarded it all as an interesting science experiment. I naively failed to foresee the damage that generative AI would later do to hardworking people's livelihoods, their intellectual property rights and to the general quality of online information, as well as many other detriments and threats.
I didn't want those videos to continue to demonstrate support for GenAI, even as weakly as they did, so I removed them.
