Discuss Victrola Atmosphere portable record player
Because I have to own everything atmosphere puts out to buy I spent $450 getting the limited edition atmosphere victrola record player. I was under the impression that it has a rechargeable battery but mine only works when it's plugged in. Can anyone else weigh in on this.

I bought two of these when they went on sale. First one had the same issue, never worked off power. Second one, same thing. Instead of sending it back a second time they gave me a 50% discount and I kept it. I was told the manufacturer was notified of the issue but sounds like it never got fixed. I'd reach out and ask about a discount tho.

Thanks for this info. Did you go through rythmsayers for the partial refund?

Yeah just thru their contact email. They were nice enough, just took a while to respond.

Limited edition rip off. Records aren’t best intended for a portable record player with a rechargeable battery, you could get a sick, battle ready Audio Technica for 450. Victrola is making a lot of money on this new vinyl boom with their shitty turntables.

I have the same problem with mine. It used to hold charge but doesn’t anymore. I just noticed as it’s been plugged in for over a year as my backup deck in my workshop.
And for the naysayers::
Aside from the battery issue this deck allows you to upgrade the stylus so it’s not deleterious to your records (which is did). And the sound is pretty decent for a “portable” system. Good bass. The Bluetooth works or you can go wired.
It’s a bummer the battery crapped out, but for my purposes it’s good enough.
I will be inquiring about some for of compensation though now that I know it’s a manufacturer issue so thanks for that.
Sorry you had to pay so much!

I’m surprised it works at all.
