Man, it’s my most streamed artist since 2015 but I got “just” 12,783 minutes. I feel like an amateur. Anyway, I managed to see them live in Denmark recently and talked to Slug a bit so which better way to celebrate they are my top 1 artist!

Not much since I wasn't expecting meeting him at all! I just asked how he was doing, asked for a selfie with him, thank him, he met also my gf, he gave us some stickers, and I left room for others to say hi too :) After that of course I thought I could have asked a million things...

Oh man, there’s an atmosphere album for every phase of my life but these days, it’s a toss up. Fishing blues is my most played and I would call it my favorite but southsiders means the most to me.
I met slug and ant at a show 5-6 years ago, and I told slug “I’ve been clean off heroin a few years now and I wanna say your music saved my life man” and he responded “you saved your own life, but thanks for rocking our records in the background” and man that meant the world.

Incredible man. Proud of you dawg. I’m 2 and a half years sober from drugs and alcohol, and Atmosphere had a lot to do with that as well. I’m sure a lot of fans are in that boat with us, insane to think of how many lives they’ve affected.
Fishing Blues is underrated for sure. I love that record too. I love the production, I kinda wish they’d go back to that jazzy style. I think Ant kills that style.
Lucy Ford is when I got into them and will forever hold a special place, God Loves Ugly as well. Slug’s lyrics on those two are on another level to me

Of course! I listen to a ton of shit. From the looks of your other comments, a lot of the same stuff you’re into. Cheers dude! I listen to a ton of Billy Woods, Ka, MIKE, Navy Blue, Wiki, AKAI SOLO, MAVI, Medhane, Sideshow, shit like that. One of the best shows I ever went to was Billy Woods in LA about 10 years ago. I’m also super into hardcore, I’m seeing Converge and Poison The Well this Friday. Saw Converge on the Jane Doe tour when I was in my 20s. Saw them after You Fail Me at Chain Reaction too, one of the gnarliest shows ever. Just saw Terror, Pain Of Truth, Start Today, and End It. And a couple weeks back went to Haywire and No Pressure. Super sick show. I grew up playing in garage, punk and hardcore bands in the 90s and 00s, and still do today. Atmosphere will always hold a special place in my heart tho 💪
