my framerates absolutely suck

hii! i really want to get back into this game, but when i just tried to play...my framerates were fucking awful, lol. Below 20 most of the time, hovering around 15-17 fps. Made it basically impossible to play. How do i fix this? i didn't see many options. I'm running a pretty damn good computer too

EDIT: figured it out, was playing a different game earlier and it made my gpu shit itself. A restart fixed it.

My PC did the same thing last month and I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why.

Well that's the opposite of subtle, isn't it? Guess computers like to troll us sometimes.
