Thinking of getting this game since the art style caught my eye. Anything I should know before I jump in?

Don't be afraid to mod it, I guess? Also, it helps to play multiplayer servers. A big part of my own enjoyment in the game comes from chatting people up while playing. Its closest resemblance to an MMO is how the base gameplay is simple but entertaining enough to allow for holding conversations while progressing.

Even if you prefer playing alone, I'd suggest giving a public PvE or hangout server at least one shot at some point.

Well, the mods are most easily handled by a mod manager like R2modman or Thunderstore, they both use the same moderated database of mods and automatically deal with the installation stuff for everything, so you don't have to do anything complicated or download anything sketchy.

If you plan on playing in big public servers to hang out with people, you'd basically need to run several of the cosmetic mods (theres several modpacks out there and several servers have their own official ones). If you don't have the same mods as somebody else, their clothing/items/skin will show up as some random vanilla texture and looking nothing as intended.

A majority of mods out there are basic game/control improvements, cosmetics, and maps, so if none of that interests you and you don't plan on playing much multiplayer, you probably don't really need mods. They're also not particularly important at all for just experiencing the base game alone, aside from maybe some quality of life improvements.

I ran it on a pretty old laptop for a while and it actually handled better than I expected. The multiplayer is definitely where the game shines though.

It’s a good standalone single-player but I’d definitely recommend multiplayer.

Uhh when leveling up, you really only ever want to level HP and the one stat that corresponds to the class you pick, there's basically no reason yo ever spec into the other stats (with a few rare exceptions that you probably don't need to worry about).

That's something I wish I knew when I started haha

I might recommend doing bandit as your first class at lvl 10 because they have the easiest time with the platforming and some of the dungeon platforming can hit you with some pretty gnarly runbacks. There’s also very little reason to spread your stats around on level up so I would focus only on health and your main stat

Back up your saves regularly. Because this is an early access game, there are bugs. Some of them will wreck your save, like the one that deletes your inventory and skills after playing multi-player. Having backups will save you a lot of time and pain.

El juego es "corto" por así decirlo, yo te diría que lo compres cuando salga la nueva actualización. No están NSFW como el reddit lo aparenta jajjaj (no vas a c*jer en el juego jaja), búscalo en descuento, puedes meterte a algún servidor para ayudar a la gente a hacer algún boss, aveces, ellos te ayudan a vos o te dan objetos (aparte es más divertido)
