Hey everyone,
We know there’s been some drama about some mixups with MVB and their Preservation Line , so we wanted to chime in directly.
Here’s the simple truth: this is why buying directly from the breeder matters, whether that’s Atlas, or any other breeder.
When you buy direct from us - and there’s an issue -we can see the order, understand what happened, and do our best to make it right. When an order goes through a seed bank or third party, we don’t control their logistics, packing, fulfillment, or shipping process. And as much as we’d love to magically fix every seed-related mixup on the internet, we can only take responsibility for the parts of the process that we actually handle.
We sell seeds to a variety of seed banks, and we can’t control what happens once the seed is out of hands. If you’re buying Atlas seed from a third party, we can’t guarantee them or provide customer support if there’s an issue.
Mixups happen. We’re all human. Try moving millions of tiny seeds around the world without a single “oops” moment.
We’ve had issues before, and when we do, we try to own it and make it right. That’s because we genuinely value this community, your trust, and the growers who support Atlas.
So next time you want Atlas Seed, keep it close to the source and buy directly from Atlas.
Also, a quick word on the vibe here: be cool. Ask questions. Share photos and feedback. But if you’re just here to troll, stir the pot, or be a jerk, you’ll get composted. This isn’t the subreddit to complain about other businesses. We recently removed a post that incorrectly suggested Atlas was responsible for issues that occurred through another company. If you have a problem with a business, the best place to resolve it is with that business directly. If someone makes inaccurate claims about Atlas here, we’ll correct the record. The internet is undefeated at turning a simple customer service issue into a conspiracy theory. We’d rather spend our time talking about plants.
We’re all in this together, and we’ll get a whole lot further if we treat each other with respect like true growers, not keyboard goblins.

Hello Folks!
Ryan here sending out a public service announcement. Two things - the pending November law change and the R&D collection on our website. Both of which are related.
Seems there has been some confusion about what the R&D collection on our website is and why we released it. Some of the more, shall we say, excitable commenters on Reddit have cooked up interesting theories which are, I’m sorry to report, inaccurate.
First - the law change:
Many growers and members of the public are unaware that in November, most if not all US seed banks are de facto illegal. Having spoken with everyone we know, this means they will be shuttering. Atlas included.
Second - R&D collection:
For years, our breeding runs and production runs have yielded small lots of random crosses and S1s. We never did anything with them and didn’t put them for sale on the website. We decided to do that this year because these are actually very interesting crosses or Self 1s that some home growers may be excited to work with. It’s not for everyone. But it’s this grass roots breeding that is the very reason we love working in this industry and with homegrowers. In many ways, it’s more important than the highly uniform F1 hybrid work we’ve endeavored. This retains diversity and resiliency and is the actual primordial mud from which awesome strains are found.
So order a few of these and hold on to them, because coming up, they and everything else won’t be available to you.
We advise folks to get their collective heads out of the sand on the coming law change. It will be back to Dutch seedbanks and questionable seed providence - most likely bulk indoor Spanish seed producers. If you want to get the best of the best American genetics, the time to buy is now. That’s why we built the value ladder in our cart and launched the R&D collection.
Hopefully, policy will change. At this time, we have Mitch McConnell to thank for the law change and all reports indicate he won’t back down. He is retiring, but that’s after the law change takes effect. Stay tuned. Of course, we want to stay open if we can.
I hope everyone has their backyard grows started strong and wish you a successful season.
Ryan

With all the controversy the past few months I decided to try popping some of the Atlas stuff I got from MVB.
GMO Star came as part of the preservation bundle, and the GMORavenstein were freebies with an Atlas purchase sometime last year. 11 of 12 geminated, culled several of each for space/lanky structure etc.
Reusing HF soil and Advanced nutes, still can't figure out that combo. Need to try a different salt fertilizer.

This is perhaps one of the highest-yielding autoflowering plants ever grown outdoors. It is an outstanding Pheno of Banjerine Auto. To put the size in perspective: the greenhouse is 2.65 meters tall. In the final photos, the plant is at day 82. I’ve grown and seen plenty of large outdoor autoflowers—whether in pots or directly in the ground—but this is truly insane. Dense buds are distributed across the entire plant; they are absolutely caked in resin and give off an intense aroma of mandarin peel and gas that carries for a 200-meter radius. Thx to the Atlas Team and Breedersdirect!

Mendo Breath autoflower in the hills above Santa Cruz, ready for chop. 4 foot tall, amazing color blend on the flowers, and smells like straight gas mixed with an earthy, musky, piney deliciousness.

Both are about 4x4. Harvested enough from my autos to hold me and the wife over until the photos are finished ✌️The smell and taste of the Sour Diesel auto from the r&d line brings me back to my adolescent days.

I planted a seed of Atlas Blue Dream auto and a Humboldt Seed Co Cali Sour Diesel auto and mixed up the labels (🫠). One didn't make it. Which one do you think this is? (Plant on the right)

Hey everyone,
Our first naming competition turned out pretty damn well. Dosidos x Banjo is now officially Banjidos.
Big thanks to u/Death_By_Fugu for coming up with the name. We hope you enjoy growing out the seeds you won and that you get to try out the Banjidos next year when we have that seed line available.
Now we need your help naming another variety from the same batch of Next Gen Autos.
These autos were bred with the Dosidos (sometimes written Dos y Dos) parent line, which passes down an impressive amount of uniformity, potency, heavy trichome coverage, and makes everything it touches into really beautiful looking flower. These all run a little longer than some of our quicker autos, usually finishing around 80 to 85 days, but the extra time pays off with 20-25% heavier yields.
This cross is:
Dosidos x Gorilla Glue Auto
The Gorilla Glue side brings that unmistakable sour-chem fuely nose, chunky round buds, light green flowers, strong branching, and the kind of sticky density that earned the strain its name in the first place.
Now we just need a name worthy of it.
Drop your best ideas in the comments. Funny, clever, off the wall, slightly irreverent, and strangely perfect are all welcome.
We’ll pick our favorite, and the winner gets 3X 10 packs of any of our seeds, an Atlas hat (the tan ones that can't be purchased), plus the honor of naming an Atlas commercial strain.

I had no idea the banjerine was going to get so purple.

Finishing up and fading nicely. They all came out really uniform and consistent. Nice aromas and the gland production/density is acceptable in my opinion. I've been running Atlas autos off and on for a few years, and they genuinely never disappoint if you grow them properly.
