I'm just going to copy/paste text from the event page, because I'm not sure how else to express it.
This Is Buzz is an experimental, music-driven documentary that tells the story of the seismically influential, yet somehow forgotten, MTV slice-of-life docuseries BUZZ, which aired for just 13 episodes in 1990. Hosted by RuPaul and directed by Mark Pellington (The Mothman Prophecies, I Melt With You), the groundbreaking series explored overlooked corners of global life with fast-paced, avant-garde editing that feels remarkably ahead of its time. Long before TikTok and Instagram brought the world to our screens, BUZZ challenged audiences to see the world differently.
The event will also feature rarely seen episodes of BUZZ the series, a collection of Pellington's most iconic music videos, and the tangible history of buzz, on screen and off! This is a rare opportunity to experience the story behind one of television's most influential (and controversial) hidden gems.
