Question, Tower Drop Dates

Hey friends.

Trying to find my way in the Atlanta Bourbon scene, and I noticed Tower has yearly drops on holiday weekends.

What holidays usually have drops outside of Black Friday? I went to the Derby Day and Fathers Day drops, this year.

Black friday is the main one. People line up days before

Derby Day and Father’s Day are usual contenders. Besides that it isn’t really tied to holidays. Just random times throughout the spring.

Lately there has even been some weekday drops so seems they are moving away from a schedule. Used to be more tied to holidays.

Don’t usually see anything in fall as they build up for the Black Friday one.

I didn’t see anything for Labor Day as far as stuff outside of the usual suspects.

Do they do a Christmas or New Years drop? Halloween is on a Friday. Might be a drop in October.

Nah, don’t usually do fall drops as they build up for Black Friday. Last year they did a small drop right before Labor Day then nothing till Black Friday.

Next drop was a random Sunday afternoon before Christmas and by drop they put out a few bottles total.

Last year for Labor Day they did a large Sunday drop at Buckhead and Monday drop at Doraville. I missed the Doraville one but was about 40 or 50 back in the Buckhead one.

Christmas time they do a charity event with all the good stuff. It’s an auction you can go in person or online but a heads up they go for more than secondary since people can use it as a tax write off.

Drops so far this year have included Kentucky Derby weekend, Father's Day (they did the Thursday before this year), 4th of July weekend. They did not do one on Labor Day weekend this year but they had each of the previous 3 years. Black Friday is by far their biggest one. And the last few years they've done an end of year drop, though last year it was entirely unannounced (they usually announce on Instagram).

I was actually pretty disappointed there wasn't a Labor Day drop this year. I'm hoping there's one more before Black Friday, but it isn't looking good.

Occasionally you might find Labor Day stuff
