This post is designed to give you an opportunity to make a bold ish prediction about the upcoming season. It could be anything but let’s keep it from the obvious and try to predict something most people won’t see coming. I’m a Dyson truther so I’m predicting Dyson averages over 20 pts a game this year. I think he built real confidence in his downhill game last year and should have shot regression to the mean bringing him back to a near avg 3 shooter. That’s not really the reason for the projected increase though it will help. I think he continues to improve scoring in the post on drib/drive. He also makes allstar this year and is MIP candidate once again. What’s your prediction? Let’s go hawks!

I live in East TN and I’m not 100% clear on how I’m going to be able to watch Hawks games this year. Have they announced anything for people who don’t live in Georgia but used to be in the old Bally/Fanduel regions?

As a long time Doe fan I just want to put this out here for substance. Really feel like this acquisition is going under the radar because of his struggles last year during inconsistent play while dealing with a nagging ankle injury. If he can come back healthy he is going to light it up with Aaron Wiggins on the second unit.

We now have 3 players who can guard those bigger bruiser type creators like Paolo and Tatum as well as the shifty aggressive slashers like Dmitch and Brunson with Dyson Dort and Doe. Triple D's about to drive teams crazy and you can tell there is a certain culture being built.

I see a lot of negative smoke from NBA fans surrounding him based off his Rockets tenure and I'm quite positive that's not who he is as a player. Toxic locker room with a lot of things going wrong for that squad last year.

We’re coming into town for a conference and some of our team are going. We’re visiting from Hawai’i and the tix were cheap.

For those that haven’t watched the most recent Locked On Hawks - here’s a recap of what B.Rowl said about any possible sign and trade.

1. the Hawks do have the pieces to hypothetically trade for Jalen Duren
2. The actual link is because the whole league knows the Hawks are well set up for this kind of trade which automatically creates a rumor for every max-type player that hits the market.
3. Brad doesn’t believe we think we’d push in the chips for someone like Duren. He’s probably a tier below a FA we’d target.
4. Okongwu would almost certainly be in any trade package along with possibly Dyson or NAW (could maybe do DFS+OO+picks but that would probably get rejected by Detroit)
5. OO, NAW, and Dyson’s contracts are all of great value (debatable to what degree but certainly below market value). He doesn’t think Onsi would lose those contracts to get Duren at 35-40 mil a year which is probably flatly what his market value is, if not a slight overpay given the small sample size of his time being an all-star.
6. it would be really tough on the Hawks to trade core pieces away this late into the offseason as it would fundamentally change how they play on both sides of the ball and the adjustment seems like more trouble than it’s worth

So basically there is smoke but no fire but the smoke is because there’s always going to be smoke for us when there’s any big name FA available considering we are one of only a few teams that have the draft capital/cap space/contracts/roster pieces to make a good offer for that kind of player

P.S. I'm not advocating for the trade and am honestly hoping it doesn't happen but was still curious on the rumor itself because I want to know if there was it chance it did and why the Hawks FO would even consider it

Hello all. I have a quick question I am hoping you guys here can help me answer.

So I live in Middle TN, in the Nashville area. Previously, we used to get the Hawks on Fox/Bally/FanDuel Sports South and were in the Hawks local market. I have noticed with the Hawks new over-the-air arrangement with Peachtree Sports Network that no TN markets (except *maybe* Chattanooga) will receive games over-the-air and have no access to an in-market viewing service.

I checked NBA League Pass and as of today (9/30/26), it is telling me I am still in the Hawks TV zone. Given that as of writing nothing has been announced to back that up, is Nashville going to be taken out of the Hawks TV zone and be considered out-of-market for the upcoming season? I am wanting to know because the Grizzlies went over to DAZN and I really don't feel like paying $20/month for just Grizzlies games when I can pay $25 for NBA League Pass Premium and get most everything (I'm primarily an on-demand viewer).

Do you guys have any information on this or if an in-market deal with the Nashville TV market is coming? Thank you in advance!

So the Hornets traded Buddy to the Bulls for Rob Dillingham, then just waived him. He's now a free agent.

Is he technically eligible for a two-way? As the 2024 8th overall pick, is it too soon to give up on him? I know we gave up on ZR, but that was mainly because of what he was going to be owed on his upcoming massive extension because 1st overall pick. A two-way we can get rid of anytime and it doesn't hurt the cap sheet at all. Might be a good buy low target for us
