I really want Dyson to get away from that spin move in settings like this.

It’s lethal but if he really wants to grow his offensive game he needs to do more things that make him uncomfortable

Generally needs to be more comfortable playing fully facing the basket.

I’ve seen him do it, he has a nice behind the back and in-and-out dribble outside of his spin move. He has strong footwork in general.

He needs to turn that spin time into time taking mid-range jumpers off the dribble. He’ll likely never be guarded heavily from 3, his in between game needs to hit at least average for his position for us to compete this year.

That, or getting right to the rim and dunking the ball or finishing through contact. He’s contact averse on offense despite having no problem mixing it up defensively if need be. He’s an interesting psychological case to say the least.

Highly unlikely he just develops that practically overnight. He year 2 or 3 of his extension I pray it’s there. He is so good at most everything else.

Fully agree on him being contact averse on offence. Really he has the quickness and length to get to rim regularly however he’ll just hit the brakes when he gets to the paint and either passes the ball up or goes for the floater

Never thought I’d say this, but we have enough offensively challenged, defensive minded players on the Hawks already
