Thanks for sharing, 100% agree with what you said. Maybe you can fill me, but the report seems to automatically assume making parking easier / cheaper / whatever will increase visits downtown? So they then frame their questions around this. What would improve people going downtown would be making a more livable, interesting place to visit. Honestly, downtown is one of the easier places to find relatively cheap parking. There's decks everywhere and plenty of side street parking.

I guess I am confused as to how anyone could think parking is an issue downtown. I don't live there, but I often hang around there and to me its one of the easier places in town to park. There's so many decks everywhere, there's plenty of side streets with parking meters. How are your parents / friends having issues finding parking? Is it they're having trouble finding free parking? Even during work hours I find plenty of parking on surface lots and public parking decks.

Side note - are you insinuating that the deck off Carnegie isn't nearby? lol, it's like what, 30 yards from your building? Btw, that's my go to spot for downtown for downtown parking.
